HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. (December 13, 2021) – Legacy Village of Hendersonville, a premier assisted living and memory care community serving Sumner County and the surrounding region, has launched “Home for the Holidays,” a respite care program offering families a safe place where their older loved one can enjoy a short-term stay, so that family caregivers have a moment to step away and practice self-care or travel over the Christmas holiday.
“Maintaining your own health is key to caring well for a family member who needs ongoing attention, so it’s not selfish to need time to yourself. We’ve learned, though, that many family caregivers feel they can’t step away, and also feel they can’t travel to see other loved ones during the holidays. This is where our ‘Home for the Holidays’ program comes in. With respite care, family caregivers are relieved to know their loved one will be comfortable, entertained and professionally cared for at all times, even more than if you hired a part-time caregiver in the home,” said Darla Brawner, Sales & Marketing Director at Legacy Village of Hendersonville.
Seniors who have been discussing with their families the possibility of moving to an assisted living community can benefit from a short-term respite stay because it provides them with an opportunity to experience life at Legacy Village of Hendersonville and all the advantages it has to offer.
“When a senior walks through our doors, we want them to immediately feel like they’re in a place they can call home. This is a great opportunity for seniors who have been considering the idea of moving to Legacy Village of Hendersonville to get a first-hand look at everything we have to offer in our 36,000 square foot facility. They will get to enjoy our fresh-forward dining, participate in a number of engaging activities and get to know our full-time residents and caregivers,” Cook added.
Respite care is offered year-round at Legacy Village of Hendersonville, based on availability and a minimum stay of 14 days.
Families interested in participating in the program can learn more about how to register by calling (615) 824-4552.
